Trade Expo at Kuching’s Waterfront
A Trade Expo aimed at promoting Malaysia-made products is being held in the Waterfront, Kuching, and Sarawak. It ends on Nov 1
2009 . The Expo is organised by the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry.
There are 106 participants and according to the Ministry, each participants will be able to sell $10 000 of goods.
The Waterfront is not the best place to hold such a event . Firstly , it is expensive as booth has to be constructed . Secondly , there is very limited parking place . The area is also small and as a result the space is crammed .
Now that we have a new Convention Centre , which is built at great cost , I was wondering why is this Expo not held there ? What is the reason ? Distance ? Too expensive ?
