It will be speedier land deals in Sabah from now
The New Sabah Times says ” The cycle time for land transactions in Sabah will be progressively reduced to just two weeks when the state’s Land and Survey Department fully goes online next year, said its director Datuk Osman Jamal.
He said the online system will be accessible at http://www.lands.sabah.gov.my and is currently on trial.”
Some one should monitor this and hold the State Government responsible to its promise . I say this because I know for sure that in a neighbouring state , which has computerised its land registration system for the last 10 years ago , yet their record is anything from 7 days to 90 days . Not 14 days and if Sabah can do it in 14 days , then it is wonderful .
Software and hardware do not guarantee changes . Human being must adapt to change too . And this explains many a failure .
I say keep monitoring the Bureaucrates .
